Team reel crazy with shark # 2 6' 11" lemon shark
This past weekend my team had the weekend off and with the wind we had no chance of getting baits out with the kayak we have so we tried around in some bays and small passes around town but had no luck for 3 days. today we went to our favorite spot with great baits and had 5 rods out before the sun came up.the water was awesome and fish every where. the spot we fish is famous for snags but also produces big fish like the one that creamed my 6/0 a few days ago. so when we are eady to reel our baits in we take our kayak out and follow the line with a glove and pull the hooks out of the snag. seems to work every time. a lil more work but well worth it to save some rigs and fish our favorite spot. so we put out a mackeral on the 4/0 wide and the 6/0 and 9/0 and put a 3 ft grouper carcass on the 50w and then put bout at least a 15 lblb ray on my 12/0 we sat all day had a few small shark picking our baits up for lil runs and ripping baits off so at the end of the day we started reeling rods up and the 12/0 was snagged so i put the clicker back on and got ready to paddle out the all the sudden my clicker goes off on a short run so i figure its the big stingray in the current so i pick up the rod and something is pulling back lol i set up and feel it for a second and then nothing so i start reeling and it feels like im dragging a big bait in and thats it. next thing i know theres a shark splashing on the sand bar i couldnt believe i brought the shark in 250yds and never even knew it lol but we got a nice lemon on the 12/0 and could not believe it ate the whole stringray that was 15lbs+ we are back at it tomorrow...good luck all

Jonathan was the first one to let me reel in a fish. If it wasn't for that night, I would probably be still watching everyone. JD let me fight my 2nd one right after Jonathans. Ive been hooked since.
Will, I want to thank you for running this tournament. It has been a good time despite the few weeks Jimmy and I fished hard and our spirits were down because we weren't catching anything. This tournament has given me an opportunity to love this sport even more. Thank you!

Shark #14 Black tip (5ft+). I was manning rods alone for a bit and got this guy on my rod set for red fish. it tapped at 5'2" but the angle of the shark and its tail in relation to the tape aren't doing me any favors... so a possible 14th shark.
plenty of other smaller BT's and sharp nose caught. they are THICK!
